Yavne’el A colony with history in every corner<\/h2>\n\n

Yavne’el is a colony with a rich and special history, while strolling through the streets of the colony, the blue signs at the entrance to special houses and buildings stand out straight away. In each plaque you can read about the building, the background that preceded it, the family that built it and the descendants who still live in it today.<\/p>\n\n

Background on the colony<\/h3>\n\n

Yavne’el Colony (formerly known as Yama) was founded in 1901 by Baron Rothschild’s JCA Company as the “mother of the colonies of the Lower Galilee”. Its first settlers were members of the First Aliyah, immigrants from Eastern Europe and North Africa.<\/p>\n\n

We started our route at the exit point located at the edge of the industrial zone. There are two routes, one short and light of 5 km and the other longer of 9 km.The routes are convenient from young ages, strollers to the third age (Grandma did the route with us \ud83d\ude01).<\/p>\n\n
